South Coastal Maine…a place destined to capture your imagination and win your heart. Few places offer the diversity of our little part of the world. Friendly people, miles of white sandy beaches, quaint seaside villages dotting the coastline, acres of woodland and pastoral countryside…It’s all here. For years, Maine’s southern coast has been acknowledged as one of the most inviting areas in our state.
From Kittery to the Kennebunks and everywhere in between, folks enjoy an unrivaled quality of life. Days can be spent exploring historic sites, shopping at the endless outlets and boutiques, boating, hiking, golfing or simply walking miles of beaches.
Wells is filled with antique shops, fine restaurants, white sandy beaches and the 1,600 acre Wells National Estuarine Reserve at Laudholm Farm where you can enjoy nature at its finest with seven miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails which provide access to natural unspoiled woodlands, fields, beaches and dunes.
The historic towns of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are only a few minutes away and with a bit of luck, you may run into former President and Mrs. Bush grabbing a bite to eat at Alisson’s Restaurant.
Take a ride on the trolley to Ogunquit and take a seaside walk along Marginal Way or relax with an evening of summer stock theater at the Ogunquit Playhouse.
